
Valerie is a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), offering compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for individuals across the lifespan. She earned her Master of Science in Family Medicine from the University of Central Missouri and completed her Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health at Herzing University.
Her clinical journey began in Urgent Care for Mental Health, followed by roles in adult and geriatric inpatient psychiatry. Valerie has also received specialized training in adolescent inpatient psychiatry and therapy, allowing her to support patients at every stage of life.
Valerie’s approach is holistic and collaborative. She believes that effective psychiatric care should be thorough, personalized, and rooted in the latest clinical research. Her dual certification reflects a deep commitment to understanding the full scope of her patients’ needs—both physical and mental.
In addition to her clinical work, Valerie holds a business degree and is proud to be the only female-owned psychiatric practice in Springfield, MO. She is the founder of the Adult ADHD Diagnostic Clinic, a practice dedicated to accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment for adults with ADHD. Valerie is currently expanding her clinic across multiple states to improve access to high-quality ADHD care.
