Desarae is a seasoned behavioral health professional with more than 25 years of experience in drug and alcohol counseling, mental health services, treatment courts, and case management. Originally from California, she relocated to Joplin in 2011 and has since dedicated her career to supporting individuals and families across the Four States region.

Throughout her career, she has worked with diverse populations, helping people stabilize, rebuild, and move toward healthier, more empowered lives. Her approach is grounded in compassion, cultural awareness, and a deep belief in every person’s capacity for change. Whether she is providing direct support, navigating complex systems, or advocating for client needs, she brings steady guidance and genuine care to every interaction.
