Carla Hall grew up in the Joplin area until she left to attend college in Springfield, Missouri, at Missouri State University. In 2002, she obtained her master’s degree in counseling and immediately began a private practice in the Barry and Lawrence counties in Missouri. This practice focuses on the treatment of depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder, as well as behavioral issues in children and adolescents. She returned home to the Joplin area in 2012. She then worked with adolescents and adults in the community mental health setting who were struggling with substance use disorders as well as evidenced-based treatment for co-morbid mental health disorders such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, chronic mental illness related to personality disorders, bipolar disorders, and schizophrenia. Carla has extensive experience and extensive training in the treatment of the LGBTQIA+ community and is highly aware of the current mental health problems faced by this community. Carla brings compassion and experience to every client and genuinely invests in their emotional growth and mental well-being.
