Allison is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Missouri, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Science in Counseling from Pittsburg State University, a CACREP-accredited program. With over 7 years of experience in private practice, as well as my recent role counseling students at Missouri Southern State University, I have had the privilege of supporting both children and adults through a wide range of life’s challenges. I believe it is an honor that clients choose to share their story with me. I will strive to create a healing environment that supports your goals and helps you gain the skills necessary for personal growth and overall wellness.

I specialize in working with clients to address a variety of concerns, such as:

  • Relationship Issues – Whether you’re struggling with communication, intimacy, or conflict, I help individuals and couples, as well as families, improve their relationships and strengthen emotional connections.
  • Anxiety & Depression – I support clients of all ages in managing anxiety, depression, and “big emotions”, equipping them with the tools to build resilience and regain balance.
  • Trauma & Reproductive Trauma – I provide trauma-informed care to individuals healing from various forms of trauma, including reproductive/birth trauma, helping them navigate the path to recovery.
  • Self-Esteem & Coping Skills – I work with clients to build self-esteem and develop coping strategies that allow them to handle life’s stresses more effectively.
  • Life’s Stressors – Life presents many challenges, from family dynamics and work stress to personal transitions. I help clients learn how to manage these stressors and restore a sense of calm and balance.

I believe that healing is possible when you have the right tools and the support to guide you. My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy and collaboration. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals and families can feel heard, respected, and empowered. Drawing from evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma Focused Therapy, I tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs and goals.

Personal Interests

When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with my family and love going to concerts and being outdoors—whether it’s taking long walks, hiking, or swimming. I’m also an avid reader and enjoy adding new books to my Goodreads app, constantly challenging myself to meet and exceed my reading goals. I have passion for rescue animals and have 2 cats and 2 dogs. My personal interests help me stay balanced and grounded, and I encourage my clients to find joy and relaxation in the activities that nourish their well-being.

I offer both in-person and online counseling sessions to accommodate your needs.
